For 20 years he was roundhouse foreman at the East Side roundhouse of the Baltimore & Ohio railroad, in Philadelphia, and was a member of the Brotherhood Relief Association of the Baltimore & Ohio railroad.
Two months ago he was held up while walking on the highway near his home in Linwood and was robbed at the point of a pistol of $75.
