    • Mrs. Mary Ann Longbottom Helms, a member of one of Delaware County's oldest families, died this morning at her home, 112 Shar road, Ridley Park.

      Mrs. Helms who, before her marriage was Miss Mary Ann Longbottom, was born in Chester and resided in the vicinity of this city all her life. She was the daughter and youngest child of the late John and Martha Schofield Longbottom, who came to Chester from Saddleworth, Yorkshire, England, in 1853.

      She is survived by four children, John R. Helms, of Swarthmore; Mrs. Harry Bates, of Ridley Park; Paul Helms, of Chester, and Miss Margaret Helms, of Ridley Park. A brother, James W. Longbottom, of Chester, also survives.

      Funeral services will be conducted at her late home on Tuesday afternoon, followed by interment at Mt. Hope cemetery, Village Green.
