    • Mary K. Franco, 97, formerly of 67 Main St., Lewis Run, passed away Sunday, December 6th, 2009 at the Sena Kean Manor.

      Born November 10, 1912, in Lewis Run, she was a daughter of the late Cesidio and Annunciata Monago.

      On May 26,1936 in Bradford she married Alley P. Franco who died on March 1, 1989.

      She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, and the Catholic Women's Club. She was also very active in scouting along with her husband.

      Surviving are two daughters: Bernadine (Henry) Reap of Smethport, and Patricia (Charles) Ruth of Caryville, TN, one son, Richard (Lisa) Franco of Taylor Mill, KY, 9 Grandchildren: Karen Reap, TJ Reap, Elizabeth Carlson, Chip Ruth, Christine Middlekamp, Carole Friend, Kevin Ruth, Greg Franco, and Jeff Franco, 13 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Josephine Piscitelli, three brothers: John, Christy, and Guy Monago.

      Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday December 8, 2009 from 3-5 pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St., where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 10:15am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church with Father Samuel B. Slocum, pastor, as Celebrant. Committal services and burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

      Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Sean Kean Manor Activities Fund, or the Auxiliary Fund.
