Ethel C. Allen Lindley, 87, 3705 Tally Ho Drive, died at 5:47 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 1992, in Saint Joseph Hospital & Health Center.
She was born March 17, 1905, in Pleasant Plain, Ark., a daughter of Oris and Celister (Harris) Sills. Nov. 5, 1921, she married Edgar Allen, who died Aug. 5, 1956.
Lindley was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center.
Surviving are two sons, Gerald allen of Kokomo and Thomas Allen of Newport, Ark.; six daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Marie) Dale and Mrs. Elvin (Wanda) Burchett, both of Kokomo, Mrs. Delmar (Jewel) Hunt of Worthville, Ky., Geneva Brahic and Earlene Sisk, both of Bald Knob, Ark., and Mrs. Donald (Frances) Thomas of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two brothers, Earl Sills of Portageville, Mo., and Olan Sills of Schererville; three sisters, Merial Kelley of Beebe Ark., Lorene Norton of Memphis, Tenn., and Buana Kirt of Dell, Ark.; 35 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Ellers Mortuary. The Revs. Paul Enochs and Denton Maners will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
The body will be taken to Dillinger Funeral Home in Newport, and burial will be in Kensett (Ark.) Cemetery.
