      Walter B. Helms, 47, formerly a resident of this city, died at his home in Icedale, Chester county, yesterday, after an illness of a year. He was engineer of the pumping station of the Susquehanna Pipeline Company, at Icedale.

      Mr. Helms was a member of the Masonic fraternity, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Robinson Helms; two sons, Paul and Robert, and his mother, Mrs. Isaac Helms.

      Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, at the Imschweiler Funeral Parlors at 1600 Edgmont avenue, followed by interment at Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 o'clock.
