      SYOSSET, N. Y., May 28-(UP)-Funeral service will be held at Bryn Mawr, Pa., Tuesday for Col. Anthony J. Drexel Biddle, sr., aged 73, member of the socially prominent Philadelphia banking family, who died yesterday at the home of a son here following a cerebral hemorrhage.

      A man of varied interests, Mr. Biddle was noted as an expert in hand-to-hand combat. He taught marine corpsmen judo and bayonet fighting in both World wars and demonstrated ju-jitsu technique until he suffered a stroke in 1944.

      Biddle began his career as a newspaper reporter and in 1895 became the editor of the Philadelphia Sunday Graphic.
