    WILL Written 17 Sep 1801 Probate Nov 1801 In the Name of God amean; I William Shaver of the County of Guilford and a citizan, of the United States of Amarica Called North Carilinia, being very sick in body, but of perfect and Memory, thanks be Given unto God: Calling unto mind the Mortallity of the Body, and Knowing that it is apointed for all men once to die, do make & ordain this my Last will and, testament; that is to say; Priccipally and first of all, I Live And recomond my Soul intoe the Hands of almight God that Cared it, and my Body Becoming to the Earth, to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the Discrarion of my Executor: Nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again, by the Mighty power of God: And as touching Such Worldly estate, wherewith it hath pleased, God to help me with in this life. I give Demise, and despose of the same in the following Manner & form after the payment of my Just Debts: First I Give and bequeath, to Cathrine my Dearly beloved wife the privelage of living in the House I now reside in alsoe her bed & furniture one third of all the table & Citchen furniture with her chist and all her clothing alsoe her Choise of twoe of the best Cows & Calf together with a horse sadle & bridle Such as She may choose out of the Stock to be at her Disposal at her Death to any of my Children alsoe I give unto my said Wife Catherine the one third of all the Cleared Land including Orchard & Middy for her use yearly and every year During her Natural Life with a ful privilege of Getting timber on the residue of the tract for fuell and other Nessary repairs. Item I Give and bequeath to my son Jacob Shaver the one half of that track of land I purchased of Adam Laramee as it now stand Divided between him & his Boither William estimated at one hundred & Sixty acres. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Wm Shaver the other half of the said tract of Land with his Brother Jacob as it now Stand Divided by Brattany Line to them and their Heirs for ever. Item I Give and bequeath unto my Sone Conrod Shaver one hundred and sixty acres of Land where he now lives to be Divided off my other land by a North and South Line in such a Manner as well take a a Good Spring near a large popular tree and to include his, improvement to him and his Heirs for ever. Item, I Give and bequeath to my son Luish Shaver my youngest son, the other part of my House with my wife and the residue of all my Land not above given away and at his Mothers Decease to injoy all and Singular the Land wheron I now reside except that Given to his Brother Conrod Shaver order that my Sone Luish pay as aproportion to his Sister Elizabeth Shaver one hundred and fifty Dollars in twoe payments the first one Year after my Decease the second the year after that together, with all the Stock and furniture that Shee me have at my Decease together with her Chist. I freely Give and bequeath the aforesaid enumerated articles together with the Money to my said Daughter Elizabeth her Heirs and assign for ever with the free privilage of Living in the House with her Mother, Should She choose it, Item Leave And bequeath unto my oldest, Daughter Cathrine Long three Dollars. Shee having received her proportion of my estate heretofore. I alsoe apoint my Son Jacob Shaver & my wife Cathrine Shaver - - - to be my executors and I alsoe hereby utterly disalow, revoke and Desanull all & every teatament; will, legacy, bequeath and executors by me in any wise before Named, willed and bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this, and Noe other to be my Last will and testament, In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my Hand & Seal this 17th Day of July 1801 Signed Sealed published pro William Shaver Seal nounced & Declared by the said Wm Shaver as his last will and testament, In the presence of us who, in his presence & in the presence of each other have heretoe Subscribed our Names William Patterson Ralph Gorrell.
