- Alexander Hawkins Graham, III, "Sandy", 57 died Sunday, April 17, 2005. A native of Durham, North Carolina and a longtime resident of Atlanta, Graham was the son of Alexander H.Graham, Jr. and Laura Pinner Graham. He graduated from Woodberry Forest School in 1966 and from the University of North Carolina in 1970, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Graham held an MBA from Georgia State University and was a Member of the Appraisal Institute. He was active in the commercial real estate business for 35 years and formed Graham & Co. in 1985. Graham is survived by his wife, Suzanne Bittner Graham of Atlanta and two daughters, Suzanne Leidgen Graham, and Alexandra (Ali) Pinner Graham, his mother, Laura Pinner Graham of Durham, NC, a sister, Margaret Campbell of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother, Jack Graham of Durham, NC, a sister, Laura Whedon of Charlotte, NC, an uncle, John W. Graham of Raleigh, NC and several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta on Wednesday, April 20 at 1:00 PM. There will also be a graveside service in Hillsborough, NC at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Portsbridge Hospice, 4598 Barclay Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30338 or to the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society, 2625 Cumberland Parkway, Suite 205, Atlanta, GA 30339.
