Edgar C. Allen, 55, died at 8 p.m. Sunday at his home, 1562½ N. Webster St., where he had been ill.
He was an employe of the Globe American Corp. when he became ill and attended the Assembly of God Church.
Born Dec. 1, 1900, in Heber Springs, Ark., he was the son of Thomas and Mary (Butler) Allen, and spent most of his life in and around Kensett, Ark., coming to Kokomo four years ago.
Surviving are the widow, Ethel, and eight children, Marie and Julie Skages, Geneva Brahic, Earlene Sink, Wanda, Francis, Thomas and Gerald Allen. There are 21 grandchildren.
He leaves four brothers, Orval, Ray, Kilford and Arthur Allen and two sisters, Mrs. Susie Spears and Mrs. Ruby Hayes, all in Arkansas.
The body is at the Long Funeral Home where friends may call from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday. It will be taken to Searcy, Ark., for the funeral and where burial will be made Thursday.
