- Clement P. Piscitelli, 'The Hugger', of Langhorne, Middletown Township died Sunday, March 5, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was 95.
Born in Lewis Run, McKean County, Pa., he was a resident of Middletown Township since 1959. He was a self-employed accountant and tax preparer, having graduated from Peirce School of Business Administration (now Peirce College) in 1948.
Mr. Piscitelli was a 1940 graduate of St. Bernard High School, Bradford, Pa. He was a veteran of the United States Army, enlisting in January 1941 and honorably discharged in June 1945 as a master sergeant, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.
He volunteered in his community as well. Over the course of 10 and half years, Clem served on the School Board in a variety of positions, most notably as Treasurer for the Neshaminy School District. He also served on the Bucks County Technical School Board. He was a long time member of the Middletown Township Bucks County School Authority and the Lower Bucks County Neshaminy School Authority. He was affiliated with the Langhorne Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Troop #21 as well. He has been a member of the Langhorne Lions Club since 1971 acting as president, treasurer and other line officers. He was active in the Middletown Republican Committee and participated in many political campaigns to elect responsible Neshaminy School Board Members. In addition, he was active with the Neshaminy Education Foundation by providing supplemental resources for the educational experiences of children in the district and as a member of the Bucks County Technical School's commitment to the future of the youth and adult residents of Lower Bucks County.
Clem was the beloved husband of 68 years to Liz (Elizabeth Miller). He was the loving father to Tom and his companion, Pam, Jeff and his wife, Sue, Lisa and her husband, Patrick, Anne, and Peter and his companion, Christine. He will be deeply missed by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Clem was preceded in death by nine of his brothers and sisters and will be sadly missed by his remaining sister, Louise, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, at St. James Episcopal Church, 330 S. Bellevue Ave., Langhorne, PA 19047. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
