- William R. Morgan, 86, devoted husband, loving father, community leader & attorney died peacefully on the evening of April 18th as a Syracuse native. In 1957 he graduated from Marcellus High School and went on to receive a bachelors in History at Hamilton College.
During his summer breaks & after college, he happily farmed hay which is how he met his future wife Marilyn, who was managing a horse stable. He helped run his Father's commercial washing machine business. And served actively in the NYS National Guard. As a graduate of SU law, Bill loved practicing law and helping people obtain justice. He had a kind heart, driven to help others have a better quality of life, as their attorney, friend & advocate. Bill's larger than life personality, ready smile and kind words brightened everyone's day.
A deep thinker, voracious reader with a variety of interests and was adept at applying all that he learned. He was a quick witted storyteller, known for his perfectly timed puns and limericks in the courtroom. He will be greatly missed!
He is predeceased by his wife, Marilyn. Survived by his older sister Mary, 4 children, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
