      A reception followed the ceremony at the Rose Free Fox Hunting Club, Media. When Mr. and Mrs. Bates return from a wedding trip, they will make their home at "Arasapha Farm", Gradyville. The bride is a graduate of Agnes Irwin School and University of Wisconsin. Mr. Bates is a graduate of Randolph-Macon Academy and Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

      The groom's father, Mr. Harry Bates is well known here as he was born and lived here until he left for Philadelphia to make a home.
